April 14, If you have wanted to start learning Morse Code, It starts tonight. We’ll go over the Code, and best way to learn to recognize characters. This sets you up to practice on your own, each month we’ll have additional sessions to help you along, learn to send and we’ll end with an evening of sending and receiving messages before going on-the-air.

April 18, it’s Saturday of the Michigan QSO Party, an HF contest. The Club station will be on the air from 12 Noon – 4:00 PM. Lunch will be provided and you can get on the air to make a few contacts even if you are newly licensed, licensed for a long time, or just curious about how this all works. Location is New Approaches Center, 5123 North Royal Drive, Traverse City. – Park in back of the building.

April 21, This Project Night will be assembling 2 kits that the Club will help kids assemble at the Maker Fest STEM event at the Civic Center in Traverse City on April 25th. While the soldering iron is hot, we’ll discuss, demonstrate and let you make a few solder connections.

April 25, Saturday again. The Club is hosting a group of tables at the Traverse Area District Library’s Annual MakerFest- a STEM activity for youngsters to explore areas of science. CARC Will help kids assemble a flash-light and an FM radio as a first experience in electronics. Volunteers are needed to supervise the kit assembly. Contact Brad Meyer, N8JXQ to offer your assistance.

April 28, Tuesday at 7:00 pm The April Club Member Meeting will be at 5123 North Royal Drive and the Live presentation will be Kevin DuPre, KF8AGY and the topic is the influence of RF energy on Toroids used in UNUN’s and an EFHW antenna system.
