Monthly Meetings
Every 4th Tuesday, the Cherryland Amateur Radio Club holds a monthly meeting. All are welcome! This is a great time to gather, socialize a little, and learn about the club and the current events going on.
Typically, the club meetings begin with a brief “business” portion where we review Board Meeting minutes, go over announcements or other items of note, socialize a bit, and usually have a “Program” or session that would be of general interest to the group. Check the newsletter, email list, and calendar for details on the monthly programs!
Who: Anyone! All Are Welcome
What: Monthly Club Meeting
Where: New Approaches Center, 5123 N Royal Dr, Traverse City, MI 49684. Park in the rear of the building.
When: The meeting begins at 7pm. Some gather earlier to socialize.
Why: Because We Like You! And we all like radio, too!
Exceptions:
– Often we’ll have a “relaxed” June meeting due to the Field Day event.
– July we will have our annual “Club Picnic” and will not meet at the above location.
– December we typically do not meet as the 4th Tuesday is usually REALLY CLOSE TO or SOMETIMES ON Christmas. So almost never a December meeting 🙂
Project Nights
On every Tuesday night at 7pm, we typically have a “Project Night” at the same location. Sometimes this can get cancelled due to other events or personal / building-access schedules, so if you plan to attend a Project Night it might be a good idea to check the email list or listen to the Monday night Net at 8pm just in case there are changes.
Board Meeting
The Cherryland ARC board meets every First Tuesday of the month at the same location. All are welcome, these are not closed board meetings. But they usually aren’t the best “first meeting” for those interested in joining, or new to radio. We encourage new members or freshly-interested hobbyists to consider attending some of the main “Monthly Meetings” instead for a while, just because it’ll probably be less boring… 😉
