CARC is active on the air with NETS beginning Sunday Morning Amateur Social Hour net at 9:00 am on 3.935 MHz. Monday evening it’s the TBARG ARES/RACES Emergency Preparedness Net at 8:00 pm, followed immediatly by the CARC Monday Evening Social Hour Net. Both Monday nets are on the 146.86 MHz repeater W8TCM, in Traverse City.
Tuesday evening is Project Night. We started in March, holding Project Night talks and times together by ZOOM instead of getting together at the Club station. Here we are as August is ending, still meeting weekly by ZOOM. Meeting in person, we typically had 4-6 people in a small room. Now, we run between 8 – 15, depending on the subject. Starting in May, we ran a series of presentations each week that added a new dimension to the discussions. Examples of these presentations include:

Sunday, August 23 is the annual Fox Hunt – Radio Direction Finding event. Meet at the Salvation Army at 1:30pm – Hunt begins at 2:00 pm You do not have to be licensed, or do it yourself. Form a team, join a team, and have a fun. Post-Hunt celebration at Sleders.
